And it’s really a Walgreens exclusive too! Sometimes you get so disgusted waiting so long for delayed action figures that when they finally start appearing you no longer care. That’s the Clone Trooper (212th Battalion) figure in a nutshell, and it’s another lazy effort by Hasbro. (more….)

The Black Series [Phase IV] Wrecker is beautiful. Do you know what’s not beautiful though? The price. Hasbro once again tries to pull the wool over the eyes of the 6-inch collecting community when the whole Deluxe premise is a scam (more….)
It’s another exclusive version of a 6-inch Clone Captain Rex. And this one sold out the moment you blinked your eyes. How does it look? (more….)
The Black Series [Phase IV] Tech is an AWESOME action figure. You’ll definitely want this one! (more….)
Hasbro, we will give you proper congratulations for choosing the RAREST The Vintage Collection figure to re-release for us. But is there any way you could think outside of the box and go a step further? How much more would it have belabored you to include an alternate helmet of the 332nd Company (Ahsoka Tano’s Clone Trooper), so we can pair them with the glorious Ahsoka Tano (Mandalore) (VC202) figure you just released. Let us get this straight. We have The Black Series [Phase IV] version of this character and a 5-inch Galaxy Of Adventures version, but you can’t include a second helmet and give it to us in a 3.75-inch scale. You hurt us! We know “newness” to a figures counts as a new figure, but it would have been WORTH IT here. Oh, and please continue to pick candidates from JTA’s Top 25 Better Choices For The Repack Case Assortments poll.
We finish up looking at SE7EN new 3.75-inch The Vintage Collection action figures with ARC Trooper Echo. It’s a straight repack, but a necessary single-carded release for the line for many reasons, including its VC176 number that Hasbro overlooked! (more….)
Let’s continue our Visual Guide updates for the Target exclusive The Black Series figures commemorating the original The Clone Wars line of figures. Next up is ARC Trooper Echo. Click below for our full Visual Guide page, and click here for our in-depth review.
Today begins Research Droids Reviews Season 13! ARC Trooper Echo wasn’t part of the 2008/2008 The Clone Wars [Blue] line either, but this is a gorgeous figure. (more….)
Hey, remember when Hawk was released in 2008’s/2009’s The Clone Wars [Blue] line? We don’t either. For one reason or another, this one slipped by Hasbro. The Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary “The Clone Wars” Clone Pilot Hawk is an anachronism of itself, but it’s nice to finally get this character in action figure form after more than a decade. (more….)
The Galaxy Of Adventures Ahsoka’s Clone Trooper figure is another excellent release. You should own this one too. (more….)
Happy Holidays! Next up for The Black Series Holiday Edition Visual Guide updates is the Clone Trooper (Holiday Edition). Click below to have a look at the full Visual Guide page. You can also click here to check out our full review.
We’re moving forward with our six-day run of holiday-themed Star Wars collectibles. Today we’re going to look at The Black Series [Phase IV] Clone Trooper (Holiday Edition) figure. This one comes with an anachronism. We identify where all the parts come from for you. The detailed review is the same for all five figures that are part of this assortment, but each character has a unique Photo Gallery. Oh, and be sure to check out the reference image in each review featuring the digital manipulation prowess of JTA reader and friend Alientek You’re going to love them! (more….)

You have to wonder what happens during the Hasbro Star Wars planning meetings when you see a debacle of a figure like Captain Rex make the cut for a repack. This figure should have never been re-released. Ever. And how long will Hasbro play dumb about that cancelled phase I Captain Rex figure from 2013? It’s egregious at this point. Just release that dang thing already, Hasbro! (more….)
The Black Series [Phase IV] Phase I Clone Trooper 6″ figure is a necessary update for the line. But is it the ideal upgrade? (more….)
Check out The Vintage Collection’s ARC Trooper Fives (VC172), our latest Visual Guide addition. Click below for the full Visual Guide page, and click here for our full review.
As of this review posting, ARC Trooper Fives still technically doesn’t exist. Hasbro has yet to formally announce this figure as part of the latest case assortment. It’s an imperfect figure, but at least it’s all-new. However, what’s up with that bronzey facial hair? Will you get this figure from The Vintage Collection for yourself? (more….)
Yawn. Hasbro made us wait so long for the Phase I Clone Trooper Lieutenant that we don’t even care about it anymore. Besides, the tooling is so old and tired now that the articulation system is terrible by today’s standards. Also, why did they give the packaging red color flashes? They used “yellow” for The Saga Collection for Episode II, and it made the most sense. What are they going to do for The Phantom Menace now? (more….)

The Vintage Collection Anakin Skywalker (VC92) broke the mold for The Clone Wars line in 2012. Since then, the realistic style became the “norm” for this Star Wars source. For The Vintage Collection “2.0” lineup, Anakin Skywalker received a wealth of updates. The Photo Real deco is stunning if you can find the right sample that is, and the scar is more pronounced now than ever. Also, and we didn’t notice this until now, the skirt was installed backward on the original release. Did you know? Hasbro spun it around for a proper drape this time. The colors are quite different on the re-release, that Anakin Skywalker almost feels like an all-new figure…. sort of. We took the time to break it all down for you by producing an all-new 72-image gallery complete with both versions (2012 and 2020) featured, comparison shots, diorama shots, and a breakdown of what separates the two releases in the Collector Notes. Check out this excellently updated figure in our RDRs now! There’s more difference here than you may realize.
Let’s add another release from wave 1 of The Black Series [Phase IV] to our Visual Guides tonight. Click below to check out the Clone Trooper (Kamino) 6 Inch figure. We’ve also added this figure to our reviews over in our review database.
Wow again! The Clone Trooper (Kamino) figure from Season 6 of The Clone Wars is another home run hit! It might have some helmet issues, but this is a HUGE improvement? (more….)
The Clone Trooper Mission Fleet figure is another excellent toy. The figures and vehicles in this line are highly-detailed and generally look fantastic. This one is based on a 2005 Revenge Of The Sith Deluxe figure. Check out to see what all the fuss is about with this line! (more….)
Up next for our The Vintage Collection Visual Guide updates is Clone Commander Wolffe (VC168). Click below to check out the complete Visual Guide. You can also read all about this figure in our full review right here.
