It looks like Jabba’s Sail Barge is finally movin’ on out of the warehouse! I just received my next FedEx update (with a new delivery date of March 11th), and so are others. We finally are getting the tracking emails! Let us know if you’re receiving the same!
The madness ensues. Those who missed out on the HasLab campaign and are desperate to own it are bidding VERY HIGH for it on eBay. Check out this auction. Thanks to friend Russ T. for the alert!
As all of us know very well now, it’s happening! FedEx is gearing to ship out the overwhelming numbers of Jabba’s Sail Barges from Hasbro’s first successful HasLab campaign. JTA wants to share in your joy as well, so we’ve set aside a special page for everyone to chime in with their deliveries, their pictures and anything else they might want to share. So be sure to post your experience when you receive yours! The devoted page is found RIGHT HERE. (currently comments) (Please note rules in the featured comment.)
It’s happening! FedEx is gearing to ship out the overwhelming flux of Jabba’s Sail Barges. Shipments are prepping for March 4th ship date and mine shows an approximate delivery date of March 6th!
StarWars.com posted a great article on the anticipation of Jabba’s Sail Barge and discuss a few new details. They’re the first to receive a finished sample for review! Check it out!
The final HasLab update was released, and it includes confirmation of the March 4th ship date as well as instructions on how to put your Jabba’s Sail Barge together! Check it out! This is getting exciting folks!
Our friends at Bantha Skull are reporting that the exclusive POTF Yak Face will also come with a drinking glass. And the glass will plug into the R2-D2 (VC25) drink tray!
We’ve been keeping a close watch on the HasLab Jabba’s Sail Barge Yak Face figure. This auction ended at $381.88. This means he only paid $118.12 for The Khetanna. I am pretty confident that we’ll see auction topping off anywhere between $500-$750 in the future, once word continues around the community that this figure exists. They should be shipping for us all soon. I hope you’ll enjoy yours without any worries over aftermarket value.
Here we go! Some people who backed the barge are now “dumping” the included and super-rare Yak Face figure with the coin on eBay. Bids are traveling high. If you nacked the barge, are you selling this figure too? Or will it be treasured forever?

UPDATE: I forgot to add an image that JTA reader and friend Binary_Sun put together. He took one of my images of Yak Face and Salacious Crumb and composited with a beautiful background. Check it out!
Collectors in the We Backed The Barge Facebook Group were treated with a post by Hasbro’s Steve Evans. He provided a rough sketch of how much space you’ll need to display your Jabba’s Sail Barge. Special thanks to JTA reader Jamie D. for the alert!
JTA reader Ashley has forwarded us an email conversation with Hasbro UK that could potentially be bad news for collectors in the UK and possibly all of Europe. Ashley wanted an update on the availability of the Khetanna in the UK and received a potentially troubling reply. Click through for more info!
UPDATE: Ashley received yet another email from Hasbro UK which should give reason to be somewhat more optimistic again. Read the article for the update!
Back in March, we provided you with a guide on the best way to fill your Jabba’s Sail Barge when it arrives early next year. If you have done your part to #backthebarge, we thought we’d provide something to you that many requested to us. We did some homework and compiled a list of characters you’ll need (that have been produced by Hasbro as an action figure already) that you’ll need with your Sail Barge. So we now wnat to know. How is it going? Are you almost caught up? How many more do you need? Click through to see a comprehensive list of existing Hasbro 3.75″ action figures required to effectively populate Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) when it arrives. Some of these figures cost nearly as much as the #backthebarge does! (more….)
The latest HasLab update for Jabba’s Sail Barge is out. Click through to read about the latest progress update on this amazing vehicle!
JTA reader and #backthebarge backer Frank H. eagerly produced patches celebrating this momentous accomplishment by The Vintage Collection 3.75″ super-articulated collecting community. We posted a link to his auction over a week ago, and now there are less than half available. If you’re interested, it might be a good time to act. You can buy the patch for $8.00 shipped on eBay. Show your support for his initiative creating this memento and #backthepatch next!

It’s pretty amazing what the #backthebarge campaign has done for some of Hasbro’s older super-articulated action figures. Look at the craziness surrounding Nikto Gunner [Nysad] from the Legacy Collection on eBay.
A seller on eBay has put together an instant retinue of various Jabba’s palace and skiff guards. Check it out. Special thanks to JTA reader Paul B. for the alert.
As per HasLab’s Exclusive Update #1, Hasbro added additional areas to the rails on Jabba’s Sail Barge to accept the existing cannon that came with both 2009’s LC Nikto Gunner [Nysad] (BD23) and 2013’s TBS [P1] Vizam (#17) figures, something JTA specifcially asked about at Toy Fair this year. As expected, the figures are selling out on the aftermarket so collectors can secure these accessories now. There are still a few on eBay (and Amazon), so you might want to see if you can secure one too. Some of the eBay aucions are completely untouchable, but you can find some loose sample for a great deal. It’s always possible that Hasbro can reissue either figure in The Vintage Collection, but why take the risk??
You probably didn’t get this email, because Hasbro Toy Shop isn’t even aware of it at the moment, but there is an exclusive update to the HasLab Jabba’s Sail Barge. Special thanks to our friends at BanthaSkull for forwarding their email to us!
There is a fantastic article on Wired.com recounting the many tense moments of Hasbro’s first HasLab campaign. They also interview our friend Steve Sansweet and get his feedback on it. Check it out!
My gut told me that this was inevitable and I was right. Collectors who backed Jabba’s Sail Barge and used PayPal as their form of payment might be in a pickle (if you don’t have a backup method of payment that is). We have received confirmation that Hasbro is calling these affected backers of the barge and alerting them that they have until 5 PM on Thursday to provide them with a credit card number (not another attempt at the PayPal transaction – they will NOT attempt another PayPal transaction), or their Barge orders will be canceled. They will also NOT allow you to place a new order for the Barge so you can utilize PayPal again. It’s credit card or bust. You may have received your Behind The Workbench book. It doesn’t matter. PayPal is declining a few orders for reasons that aren’t yet totally clear. I don’t know if it’s because of a certain cutoff date or not, so if your PayPal transaction went through and the monies were debited, your order should be fine. Call Hasbro Customer Service at 1-800-408-0052 for more information on this.
UPDATE: SO far it looks like very few people were affected. Good news!
