eBay seller tunghori still have quite a few The Vintage Collection (or TVC-quality) figures IN STOCK. Don’t forget to pick up Vizam for your new Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). Remember, Hasbro is retooling the railings on the Barge so that his AWESOME gun can be attached. There are other figures as well including the rare red-bandana Kithaba figure and Princess Leia (Slave Outfit). These are reasonably priced and as the aftermarket values for skiff guards and related figures skyrockets, get a few while you can for acceptable prices!

Holy! We are getting a ton of emails from readers notifying us that the charges are going through for Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). So much for April 25th!

As we reported yesterday, Hasbro has sent out confirmation that orders for Jabba’s Sail Barge will be processed on April 25th. Did you receive your confirmation too?

You saw our popular post of what figures would make beautiful additions to your newly guaranteed Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) and how you can secure them on eBay. (If you missed out this fun post, check it out HERE.) So now we want to know if anyone you have taken any steps to acquire figures you’ve missed on the eBay aftermarket ever since the #backthebarge campaign had been hailed a success. Let us know of your new acquisitions and post them in the comments! We want to see how you’re going to #populatethebarge now! It looks like we’re going to need about 128 figures to fill it! As a side note, can anyone else feel the excitement in the air again with collecting? It’s like a rebirth, and it is a fantastic feeling!

JTA reader Aldo S. sends us word that he contacted Hasbro’s customer service department and was informed that Hasbro would not be charging credit cards/debiting PayPal accounts until April 25th when the Barge booklet is available and ready to ship. It seems as if we all have a little more time to situate our finances if needed. The rep also informed him that Hasbro was not prepared for the influx of orders that came in the last couple of days and needed to print more booklets.

ALL ABOARD! You did it! Whether it was FOMO, last minute desperation, a strategic plan to order at the last minute or a spare for a rainy day, the first HasLab campaign is now over. Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) is coming to your collection February 2019 (approximately), but only if you backed one. A low edition size of 8,810 units of Jabba’s Sail Barge is all that will be produced for USA and Canada residents. If you passed on this expecting to find it at Walmart or TARGET or Amazon on clearance, (and you wanted one) you’re going to be a very, very disappointed collector.The aftermarket will be your only choice, and we know how things on eBay go. Congratulations to everyone and we know we all cannot wait for Hasbro’s continuous updates on this project’s progress.

UPDATE: It looks like Hasbro is auditing their orders and the final number of backed Sail Barges keeps changing (minimal/negligible differences). It seems like 8,810 is the final number.

That was not a spelling error! Now that we have backed the barge and we have all put out a substantial amount of money, it’s time we worry about packing the barge! As many of you know, sometimes our SDCC orders don’t show up in the best shape, so it is essential that such a limited item comes to us as safe and packaged as well as possible. We won’t get any replacements I’m sure so PLEASE! Ensure that we will get our Barges and Yak Face safely! Share your thoughts with us here.

Hasbro sends out one final email alerting everyone in the USA and Canada that it’s NOW or NEVER to secure your Jabba’s Sail Barge. This means you have until April 3rd at 11:59 PM ET to order one. Despite the disbelief seen on social media that this long-awaited item will be released in stores and made available again at some other point, Hasbro’s email could not be more explicit and more transparent that Jabba’s Sail Barge will NEVER AGAIN be offered in the USA and Canada. Secure yours today!

Hasbro, is it possible to give any insight or a statement on what options international collectors will have for Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) now that it has been fully backed (before the deadline). These collectors would liek to know if they have any other better options before paying a ton in shipping costs. Thank you!

OK, so it’s “clear” Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) is getting fully backed. So what else can we talk about now? I have an idea. Now that 5000+ of us will have a stunning new vehicle for our collection, how about getting on Hasbro’s case to reissue/redo the Sarlacc pit they made years about in 2008’s TLC Battle At The Sarlacc Pit TARGET exclusive Battle Packs release? They could NEVER do a straight repack of it (too many things have been updated since its release), but we’re going to need something to throw Jabba’s prisoners in next! So, how about it, Hasbro? Look how much this “outdated” set goes for on eBay. It’s crazy! See our Research Droids Review on it HERE.

Folks, without sounding cocky because I am nervously walking on eggshells at the moment, I think Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) is really happening. (I AM NOT TRYING TO JINX THIS, CHRIS!) With so much resistance on Twitter, YouTube and pretty much everywhere else social media exists, people that should have championed for this vehicle’s success decided to do other things instead, almost trying to thwart this campaign. Regardless, the Sail Barge campaign has plowed through nearly all of the negativity. I never thought we’d get close to 4000 backers; now we’re beyond that significantly. I am thrilled that we’re so close to seeing this a reality. So, of course, I need to ask if you’ve backed one, please consider backing another. I want to look at that magical 5000 number, and I can’t wait until Tuesday night. I am sure all others who want this feel the same. In the meantime, feel free to talk about this whole campaign, what could be done to improve it, and how excited you are to display your Sail Barge when it *arrives* February 2019 (help us Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re our only hope).

If you have done your part to #backthebarge, the staff at JTA profusely thanks you. For the first time, we sense that this small miracle is going to happen. This is our modern Sears Cantina with rare Blue Snaggletooth. I wouldn’t want to have any fear of missing out on this great item. In fact, people that never considered buying a 3.75″ action figure are backing them like crazy. We remain cautiously optimistic, but emotionally we’re also bordering on excited. Now that Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna) is significantly closer to becoming a reality, we thought we’d provide something to you that many have been requesting in email correspondence to us. We did some homework and compiled a list of characters you’ll need (that have been produced by Hasbro as an action figure already) that you’ll need with your Sail Barge.
