Hasbro messed up the decal sheet on the Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter Toys R Us exclusive vehicle, and it’s an error that trailed all other subsequent releases of it since. It’s the ONLY Hasbro release where you can get a BLUE SNAGGLETOOTH! Once again, check out what less than $20 got you in 2004. The Mos Eisley Cantina (Scene 2) Scene Packs is another excellent release and features Zutton, the only time we ever received this character in the modern line. After the recent article about Star Wars trending on Google, I thought it might be fun to take a closer look at how various Star Wars characters are trending on Google, both old and new. The results may make some people happy, others not so much, some of the results are certainly surprising! Some spoilers: Russia loves Kylo Ren! Japan loves droids! And Jar Jar Binks is trending more on Google than Finn, Poe or Rose, even in 2019. How is any of that possible? Click through for a few comparisons between Star Wars Characters!
This is a surprise. JTA reader shagbert wrote in to let us know that the red and black boxed Episode I Obi-Wan Kenobi doesn’t come with the extra hand attachments. The tray doesn’t even have a place for this. Perhaps this was already announced by Hasbro, but it looks like to complete this figure, you’re going to need the 20th Anniversary version.
“You may already know this; I was a bit upset to discover it this evening when my BS Wave case arrived… The red box Obi-Wan doesn’t have the two extra hands that the 20th Anniversary version does, despite all of the sites having stock photos supplied by Hasbro of him using the pointing one. I had hoped that they were behind the cardboard, but nope; here’s the liner.”
Hurry! In what might be the final wave of Galaxy of Adventures action figures (since they’re getting discontinued in a few retail locations), they’re all IN STOCK at Walmart. Special thanks to JTA reader Craig for the alert!
Amazon is canceling a ton of orders for the latest The Black Series [Phase III] 6″ figures. Did yours get canceled too? Mine did! If they did get canceled, Walmart is still offering them for the lowest price online (17.97 each). Check to see what’s available by clicking HERE.
Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi • Star Wars • 1978
Name: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Jedi Knight) • Collection: Episode I • Availability: February 2000
YouTube Channel FXitinPost has released their very own reimagining and recreation of the duel on the Death Star between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. While the original duel was quite static and short, this reimagined duel adds many new scenes and is more in line with what we saw in the prequels or in Rogue One. Some of the CGI does look a bit wonky here and there (this is made by fans who don’t have the budget of ILM), but the overall result is quite impressive. How do you like this reimagined scene?
SH Figuarts released their overall 4th (and possibly final) Obi-Wan Kenobi figure in February. It took a little while until my figure finally arrived from Japan, but now that I have the Revenge of the Sith version of Obi-Wan it’s time to take a (very) quick look at it. So click through for my overall thoughts and a few photos!

Star Wars News Net reports that an Obi-Wan Kenobi series will come to Disney+. According to SWNN, Obi-Wan would be a limited series with up to six episodes. However, there is no official confirmation yet, so treat this as a rumor for now.
But if there will be an Obi-Wan series, it would show that Disney and Lucasfilm do listen to fans, since many in the fandom asked for more live action Obi-Wan for quite some time now. It may well be that Disney feels that a movie might be a risk, after Solo flopped at the box office, not knowing perhaps if general audiences would like to see an Obi-Wan movie as well. By making Obi-Wan a Disney+ series the production will not only have a somewhat smaller budget, but Disney can also be certain that Star Wars fans will now have one more reason to subscribe to the service. Obi-Wan would be the third exclusive Disney+ Star Wars series on top of the all new season of The Clone Wars. What are your thoughts? Would you be happy about a limited Obi-Wan series? A series does give more time to develop characters and plot than a movie. Which is certainly one of the advantages of a tv show, whereas a movie would probably have been pretty much focused on action only. Leave your thoughts in the comments!
Check out the official promo photos of the upcoming The Phantom Menace Black Series figures Darth Maul and Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi!
The official Star Wars website revealed a brand new wave of Galaxy of Adventures figures!
The wave includes Rey, Kylo Ren, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ep III), Darth Maul, General Grievous and Boba Fett. Each figure comes with a comic book. Also, each figure is a repack. It should be noted that the tube art and comic for Rey are for Jakku Rey in The Force Awakens, but for some strange reason Hasbro decided to put a The Last Jedi Rey in the tube.

British politician Boris Johnson (former mayor of London, former Brexit minister) made a quite odd, or let’s say “interesting”, remark at a political speech he held recently in Northern Ireland. He said this:
“Which was the biggest grossing movie last year? Star Wars and where does George Lucas propose to make a follow up about Obi-Wan Kenobi? Northern Ireland.”
Now, Boris Johnson is not exactly known for conveying facts. And it’s more likely than not he has no clue what he’s talking about here. But if it were true, then that would be quite sensational news. Of course, nothing official is known. Should Lucas actually direct another Star Wars movie we should learn about it one way or the other sooner than later. Until then, don’t hold your breath!
SH.Figuarts Episode III Anakin Skywalker is being released just now and the figure will be shipped soon. And just in time for Anakin’s release SHF have announced Episode III Obi-Wan. Pre-orders will open on October 1st, so be sure to check the usual Japanese etailers on Monday. Click through for some more infos and a few initial thoughts on the figure!
Update: Figure is available for pre-order now!
