Colorful, realistically styled and mimicking every square millimeter of the original vintage Kenner Boba Fett, the SDCC exclusive Boba Fett figure from The Black Series [The Empire Strikes Back 40] line starts off the celebration of everyone’s favorite film and its four-decade birthday. If you don’t want to deal with less than one-minute availability when they go for sale on Hasbro Pulse, Robot Kingdom has most of the San Diego Comic-Con exclusives available to pre-order with a July 26th shipping date right now. Interestingly, the Retro Collection Prototype Darth Vader figure is SOLD OUT! The 6″ Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker Special Action Figure Set are still available.

Most of us missed out on the SWCC exclusives from Hasbro. If you’re interested, eBay seller freemantoys has them for a little over $100 for the pair. Thanks to JTA reader Scot G. for the alert!

In case you missed it, you might have noticed that we created a “new” category for some of the special edition figures in The Black Series 6″ line with unique packaging. Originally titled The Black Series [Star Wars 40] line, we’re now changing the name of the collection to The Black Series [Anniversary Collection]. This category now also features The Phantom Menace 20th Anniversary figures. We did this to house all of the commemorative figures that pay tribute to an anniversary of a Star Wars film or line look under one grouping, typcially those that are outside of the standard line look. Specifically, replica vintage Kenner or Hasbro carded figures will go into this category going forward. This was necessary since they don’t fit anywhere else within The Black Series 6″ umbrella. We will also place all of the upcoming 40th Anniversary The Empire Strikes Back figures into this bucket as well.

We broke the news that this figure was coming in The Black Series 6″ line. Now, here it is. And it’s a gorgeous release.
