This
weeks episode: “Who’s
got Stinky Britches?”
Hi
Guys and Gals, it’s time for my weekly sales pitch. “Please take a
look at my Display Stands. You can find them at my
eBay Store.”……………..ok
now on to more important matters.
Each week I dig out a set of figures to place on my display stands and take a nice
group picture. (My camera sucks but I do the best I can.) This week I found myself
drawn to the alien designs that can be found in Jabba’s Palace.
As a kid I always imagined that Jabba’s underground lair was filled with the
toughest, meanest scum in the universe. The kind of aliens that are so violent and
depraved that they would kill their own mother for a credit. You know, real tough
guys. Crazy and Stinky…..or something like that.
So I’m going through all my figures I pick out my favorite selection, and that’s
when I notice that somebody doesn’t quite fit in. At first glance you might
say that it’s Sy Snootles..but you would be wrong. Take a better look. That’s
the vintage “old school” Snootles, and she’s got tusks. So then
you say, “You must be referring to Droopy McCool. He looks like a cross between
Winnie the Pooh and Mr. Magoo.” Again I would say you are wrong because surely
he must at least stink. Of course you naturally ask, “What about Tanus Sperjik…or
as some call him “Boobie McBucktooth”?, And I would say to you “Grow
up.”
No my fellow fans, I would bring your attention to that small little blue fellow
in the back. Does he look dangerous? No. Stinky? Well, maybe a little bit. He’s
Max Rebo. Quite possibly the cutest Star Wars figure ever. Chubby little fingers,
big floppy ears, and a nice white diaper. I wish he was real and I could pick him
up and hug him. Instead of a dog I wish I had a little pet Rebo.
So the next time you reset your Star Wars figures on the shelf give Max his due.
Display him in a position of prominence for all to see. Let him Stand Tall.
Till Next Time,
Jim (Team_Felix in the JTA forums)
